FAQs for Helicopter Training
•An applicant for the PPL(H) course must be 17 years of age for licence issue
•An applicant must be at least 14 years of age for flying hours to count towards the issue of the PPL(H)
•An applicant may act as Pilot in Command from 16 years of age
•An applicant must hold a valid EASA Approved Class 1 or class 2 Medical Certificate
• You must have completed 155 hours flying time in helicopters, including 50 hours of pilot in command (i.e. solo), with 10 of these being cross-country
• Your must have a current, valid pass in all the CPL(H) theoretical knowledge exams
• You must hold a EASA Class 1 Medical Certificate
